I am always seeking to add more prospective adoptive couples to my practice. Because there is no agency involved and I choose not to charge astronomical amounts of attorney's fees, my adoptions are significantly less expensive than most other local or statewide options. I do not charge for initial meetings, and I offer assistance with preparing biographies and home study procurement. No infant can be placed in the care of prospective adoptive parents unless and until they have obtained a completed favorable home study. To facilitate this, I can connect you with clinical social workers and home study providers who can complete the necessary assessments, often on an expedited basis.


Adoption can seem like a daunting process, but my goal is to make it as straightforward and supportive as possible. I can provide referrals to licensed professionals to assist you with the required home study and post-placement visits. With my support, you can navigate the requirements for adoption without feeling overwhelmed.


I can facilitate both in-state and out-of-state placements. While interstate adoptions involve additional paperwork and fees, I am experienced in navigating these complexities. I can assist you through the requirements and help you understand what to expect throughout the process.


Florida law provides for the coverage of birth-related expenses from prospective adoptive parents to help birth mothers during their pregnancy and for up to six weeks after the birth and placement of the child. This support can include medical expenses, counseling, and other necessary costs. I also have a network of professionals, including therapists and life coaches, who can provide emotional assessments and ongoing support for birth parents before and after placement.


As you consider adoption, it’s essential to be aware of financial aspects. You do not need to mortgage your house just to become a parent. My services are designed to offer a comprehensive, cost-effective approach to private adoption. For adoptions finalized in 2024, there is a federal adoption tax credit of up to $14,890 available. This tax credit can help offset some of the costs associated with adoption, but it is important to note that it is not refundable. This means it can only be applied if you have a federal income tax liability for that year.
